The findings of (Technology use in CPS) states "Male students and high-risk students (students receiving special education services, low social economic students, and students who are old for their grades) use technology less than other students. This came as a surprise to me because,There is a growing body of evidence that technology integration positively affects student achievement and academic performance. The Center for Applied Research in Educational Technology (CARET) found that, when used in collaborative learning methods and leadership that is aimed at improving the school through technology planning, technology impacts achievement in content area learning, promotes higher-order thinking and problem solving skills, and prepares students for the workforce.

Why Technology Skills Are Important
As an educator I truly believe Students who access computers in the classroom will build their computer skills, which are invaluable in a technologically sophisticated society. By the time computer use becomes mandatory at the high school and college levels,( if student are not receiving the proper training with computers) students will not be well-versed in using basic word processing programs, they won't know how to use computer-based research and typing. I really believe Building these skills at a younger age by way of classroom computers can pay dividends as the student advances through middle school, high school and perhaps beyond. ( If they are not getting it because of the school they are attending how can they be ready once they move on to higher education).

Intervention
I Believe Students who access computers in the classroom will build their computer skills, which are invaluable in a technologically sophisticated society.
  •  By providing to help Students with learning disabilities. There are many interactive and tutorial programs on line or available as software that help the challenged student with reading, math or other areas of weakness. Computers can help with students that have trouble with written. Students would be  more willing to write using the computer than with paper and pencil. The ease of typing makes writing less of a physical challenge, and students can focus more on content than the physical process of writing.
